So this week was pretty crazy,
for me at least. Monday and Tuesday were the same as usual, nothing
eventful happened. Wednesday I went on exchange with Elder Mattheus. He's
half Peruvian half Guatemalan, hes a mandarin speaking missionary so
hes kinda a big deal. Anyways so I got to go work in Nottingham for a
day. The city is a lot more different than the villages. There is so
much culture in England, we talked to people from Everywhere. And to
make it even cooler it was pouring rain every 10 minutes it was so
sick. So I got to teach some Chinese people with Elder Mattheus and it
was cool to actually teach people. After finding all day we just did the
usual go home and go to bed routine. When I got back the next day I came
home to find out that Elder Hall and Elder Debeikes broke my bed and
Elder Debeikes ate my chocolate waffle and touched all my stuff -_- so
now my bed is in half but whatever. While I was gone they randomly
taught some kid and got some really solid potentials. Then later that
night we went to the Clays and had some Chinese food and they showed us 2
songs from the book of Mormon play...Holy flip so blasphemous but
sooooooo funny. The intro song and the song I believe were so
funny. When we got home that night we changed our answer phone message
to us singing one of the songs, don't worry only other missionaries can
here it we aren't letting other people hear it haha. A member gave us
some videos that talk about the early history of the church and they are
super cool we just listen to them in the morning and find out so much
that we never even knew. Our favorite quote from the video is where the
narrator quotes Joseph Smith when he meets Newel K. Whitney when he
says "Newel K. Whitney thou art the man" so now we quote it all the
time. Not much else has happened we have just been working hard and
teaching people when we can. Today we are going to Nottingham to go buy
more suits soooooooooooo yeah I may not have food for the rest of the
month but that's okay I believe that the lord will provide...I hope
that's not blasphemous or im gonna die from no food now.
Love you guys!

General Conference Weekend
Conference is like the super bowl here everyone buzzes for it! My favorite speaker was Jorg Klebingot. Conference was awesome!!! Its weird watching conference on a mission you start to understand everything that everyone is talking about. Im gonna try and be that bold when I talk to people because holy cow he just tore into the entire world basically. He makes some really good points, we have to start taking responsibility for everything we do physically and spiritually. We have to do all we can to be the best that we can we cant make excuses. It was interesting when he talked about embracing obedience cause not only should we embrace it but we must do it voluntarily as well as with repenting daily. even for the small things. I consider myself a little too forgiving sometimes so I don't think I have a problem with that haha but trust me being a forgiving person is not easy at all. The last thing he talked about, accepting trials as a part of mortal life, is one of my favorite things that I realized at an early age. People here always say why is there so much bad in the world why do these things happen to people. Its so we learn to rely on God and turn to him through our struggles. Agh I love conference. random question. What would you do if a leader of the church said to take all you had and to go without it for a week. no electronics mainly. idk just a question.
We have started to find a lot more this last week. we got some potentials but we haven't been able to go see them yet. its beginning to look a lot like winter here, its raining all the time and its FREEZING. its been good though, ive been having fun.
So conference was different. we went to Sat morning session in the afternoon on Saturday then we went to priesthood session in the morning the next day then we watched afternoon session of sat then we watched the morning session of Sunday and we don't get to watch the last session. It was so fun to watch conference in a different country. the people here treat it so differently. When I tell people I've been to the conference center they flip out and ask me all about it.
Also tell Wesley to write me I want to hear from him. I'm so mad I'm missing his wedding that was literally the only wedding I've been looking forward to my entire life :( if you go take tons and tons of videos for me and pictures and do what I would do. I loved seeing the videos its weird to see how different everyone looks after 2 months. Jordan actually looks a little taller and Jonathan looks like a tank as always. This week is gonna be good I can feel it!!!! love you guys talk to you soon. Christmas is in like 80 days :O

Gave a Talk this Week
Nothing too interesting happened this week but we had transfers and we got a new sister from Germany! hah I wish I knew German. I gave a talk on Sunday and I made people laugh and at the end I made some people cry, to be honest I don't even remember most of what I talked about I just kinda talked about my decision to go on a mission. Half the ward came up to me after and said they loved it so I must have said something pretty cool! All the missionaries talked and we singled out all the future missionaries in the ward it was funny. This ward is so cool I don't want to leave it for at least 2 more transfers. But yeah that's all that's really happened this week we've still been trying to find people to teach but its hard when no one here is very religious. so we are gonna try and reactivate less actives.
Not gonna lie I've been a bit homesick but nothing too bad. I'm always happy. Everyone in the ward is super close and I'm friends with most of them. I was telling the boys they should play some computer games with the kids here cause I know every single kid in the ward. Its lots of fun to do stuff with the ward.
Its super hard, I just want to tell the people everything but no one wants to hear it. No one believes in God! Its so weird, one day we asked a man if he saw god would he believe in him and he still said no?!?! Weird.
